Unit of Inquiry – ‘How the World Works-Water’
Look around your house for water in solid, liquid and gas form. Record what you find on the chart given using pictures. (For example, steam in the kitchen/bathroom, ice in the freezer, sweat on your forehead) Use the vocabulary ‘solid’, ‘liquid’ and ‘gas’. Encourage your child to think where solid water and water in the form of gas might be found before telling them.
Language Arts
This week we learned about the sounds ‘c’ (as in cat and car) and ‘k’ (as in kick and kit).
Please remember to read a rangeof books with your child and discuss them.
Cut out the weekly words (cat, kick, kit) and stick them to card, try reading them by saying the sounds and blending them together. Keep them with your word collection.
